Anodized products...What exactly does ANODIZED mean?

When something is anodized it means it's coated with a protective metal film over it (like magnesium or aluminum) by chemical or electrolytic means. It's done to increase resistance to corrosion and wear to objects. Pretty useful, most of the time...until the anodized layer is worn away hahaha.
