Need help with Poptropica astro knights.?

I'm on the fire Planet and I'm at the dragon but I'm having the up most worst time with climbing the chains. It seems when I enter the room with the dragon my graphics slow down a Little and I can eventually climb a chain but can not jump over to the next chain, I position my mouse at an left angle but my character just ends up climbing up not over. Help!!
